- Account information — email address and name provided when you sign up via Clerk authentication.
- Usage data — topics you enter, reels you generate, caption styles selected, and voice choices.
- Payment information — billing details processed securely by Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate and deliver your AI-powered reels.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional emails (receipt, password reset, product updates).
- To improve our AI models and service quality.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
3. Third-Party Services
MonstaReel uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Clerk — authentication and user management
- Stripe — payment processing
- ElevenLabs — AI voice generation (your script text is sent to their API)
- Anthropic Claude — AI script generation (your topic is sent to their API)
- Cloudflare R2 — video storage
- Railway — backend infrastructure
- Vercel — frontend hosting
4. Data Retention
Generated videos are stored on Cloudflare R2 and accessible via your account. If you delete your account, your videos and personal data are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are retained as required by law.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security but take all reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Children
MonstaReel is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of MonstaReel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
